Basketball Dye….so much to weed but my cricut explore air 2 was up for the cut and my cricut premium permanent silver vinyl held up. I went with lotion dye for black leaving I the outer inseam for a grey look (timing with black). Then went to my shaving cream dunks once weeded. Sorry no pics. About 2.5 hours of total dunk time using PCAD Burnt Sienna and Espresso with a dribble of I Dye Poly Orange. And the challenge has been thrown down to all dyers….can your machine and vinyl handle it? Drippy swirls, a bit of a new pattern for me. Detergent mix, which I need to adjust because it inconsistently removes stamp layers…
Here we have another haute wheel dye. But not just another one, this was for a friend and fellow dyer. Travis (Birdie Bud Dyes) sent me the image of the color shift rims. Welp, I don’t have a color shift foil so I pondered. Yes my spritz bottles could work, so I took a chance. I was able to do the broad areas first, then white glue masked to do the trim pieces. I am so excited to keep trying the spritz bottles. More in the works for sure. And I did work in some holo-glitter foil as well.
I call this The Duality of Disc Golf. I was able to capture some good detail in the stencil on this one. I airbrushed the black and rim and dyed the rest with acetone/DA mixture. I can say, I was pleased how this came out and the kid it was for, was over the moon for it!
