For hitting 300 followers I did a livestream dyeing a disc that is going in a giveaway! I wanted to show everyone the acetone cell technique I worked on during 2024. The original intent was to have a fire and ice look with the spray bottle, but instead ended up with this radioactive/ viral kind of feel that I think looks dope.
First ever attempt to do a lava dye.
I did the black floetrol bed with idye black and silicone oil mixed and pcad flame scarlet and bright yellow for the pull over without any oil mixed in.
Heated the bed for about 20 minutes to let the cells evolve and then another hour with the disc in it.
Pretty happy with the result 😀

-This was a doozy…VI from Arcane: League of Legends on a BigZ Raptor.
– Traced artwork on my iPad with ProCreate to make the stencil
– DA painted the black lines.
– Toothpick and small detail brush for everything else…. Oh, and I lotion painted the base skin tone and the aqua color for her pantleg cuff.
-Cool AI stencil design hot dipped on a Discraft BigZ Predator.
-Shaded with DA black mix and DD.
-Used toothpicks to color the eyes and small circuit components.
Had a fun time this January working background dyes! This one was another lotion painting special! Check out more at @unowndyes on instagram!

MVP Neutron Glitch Stencil Dye While brainstorming on ideas for a glitch-themed disc, the idea of using small equally-spaced squares in Cricut Design Space to pixelate an image using different colors was captivating me. I thought good ‘ole classic 8-bit Mario would be the perfect test subject: I thought it would be cool to include the mushroom in 16-bit form, and to have 8-bit Mario reaching into a more complex universe, powering up to see the TRUTH. I started by changing the colors of my grid of squares to match the exact pixel patterns for each object. This required me… Read more »
