Roundtable Review LIVE is Back! 🎨🔥
The Roundtable is open again!
Join the Disc Golf Dyers Guild LIVE on the third Wednesday of every month at 8PM Central for Roundtable Review, a community showcase where we check out what disc dyers have been creating, talk techniques, answer questions, and probably get distracted by something dye-related along the way.
🖼️ Submit Your Disc
We want to see what you’ve been working on!
Whether it’s your first dyed disc or your 500th, submit a photo of your latest creation below for a chance to have it featured during the live show.
And don’t just show us the finished disc, tell us how you made it!
What technique did you use? What dyes and materials? Did everything go according to plan, or did a happy accident turn into something awesome?
The more you tell us, the more we have to talk about during the show.
You can also include your social media or website so everyone watching can find more of your work.
🔥 What Happens at the Roundtable?
Each month we’ll:
- Showcase and discuss community-submitted dyes
- Talk techniques, materials, experiments, successes, and failures
- Answer your disc dyeing questions
- Share what’s happening around the Dyers Guild
- Reveal the next Dye-a-Thon theme
- Give you a first look at what’s coming next
Roundtable Review isn’t a competition and you don’t have to be an expert to submit. It’s about sharing what we’re making, learning from each other, and celebrating the ridiculously creative things people are doing with plastic and dye.

MVP neutron trail pixel art dye. Lots of weeding before and after the hot dip. Hot dip onyx + Idye poly black for 20 mins @ 125°. Then mostly qtip work with Isopropyl dye mix for the colors because it doesn’t bleed the existing black/colors. Some acetone mix for the stronger sections.
Full process on http://go.discdyeaddict.com/youtube and short clips on http://go.discdyeaddict.com/Instagram or YouTube shorts.

Floetrol dye with PCAD dandelion yellow, a mix of iDye red and PCAD Pinkish Red, and PCAD Flag Blue.
Let it settle under a heat lamp for about 2 hours.
Evil Ernie image sent to me by requester, converted to stencil and cut with Cameo5. Ernie is on a fission mvp disc, then JäRNOLD on a Kastaplast Jarn of course. Both hot dip for the blacks and then qtip work using onyx + isopropyl mix for shading, and isopropyl or acetone mix for other colors.
Full process on YouTube for both.
Dyer from Estonia: Andidyes
Process stencil outlines. Freehand filling.
Using DA mix for lighter shades
Acetone mix for harsher tones.
Main tool : Toothpicks dipped in dye.
Qtips to blend colours.
Process throughout 2 days
First day 3 hours. Drawing, cutting and dyeing the outlines on the disc. Than letting it sit for the night so the next day the lines wont get smudged if anything gets on it.
Second day 6 hours in total started filling the white space with all the lines and colours.
So 9 hours of work in that one.
Playing around with ideas to see if they work. Couple errors but made corrections.
few more
I did this stasis to show what could be done without any fancy tools. Just school glue masking for the bubble circles, then cotton ball used to apply isopropyl alcohol dye mix for the colors. Then just a qtip to add shading to the bubbles for effect. Simple, cheap entry point but still a nice result. Wanted to provide this as an alternate to the more complicated Dyes- like the ones that require vinyl / turn table / stencil cutter etc.
Full process on my youtube/Instagram

Here are a few of my recent ones. I used a similar process for all of them- Hot dip the black on the stencils, then peel up any background and lay down in a glue bed. Hand paint the remaining areas with denatured alcohol and prochem dye.
I’ve been using the dyer’s guild “Black Market” at a pretty high dilution to do shading. Also used that same mixture with a natural sponge to do the moon texture background.
Here are a few more
My most recent. Telluride, Colorado dye made for a wedding gift (Mixture of acetone dye and floetrol.) A fun floetrol dye for Halloween from last year. A Cicada wing glue mask + floetrol dye for a friend,
Cicada is a glue mask with floetrol. Glow Halloween Jack-o-lantern from last year. Colorful one is Telluride, Colorado. Mixture of floetrol and acetone, made for a wedding gift.
Hollow Knight Commission. mostly 91% isopropyl alcohol was the medium for this. free handed alot of this one actually. darker colors were stencil dyed.
