Dyers Guild 2025 Secret Santa Swap – Rules & Guidelines

Welcome to the Dyers Guild 2025 Secret Santa Swap! Please review the following rules and guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.


General Rules:

    • Eligibility:
        • This swap is open to all disc dyers in the U.S. (International participants may be considered if they opt for international shipping).

        • Participants must be able to dye a disc golf disc.

    • Signups:
        • The deadline to sign up is Sunday, November 16th, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST.

        • All information provided during sign-up must be accurate and complete.

        • Once signups are closed, no additional participants will be allowed to join.

    • Assignments:
        • Participants will be randomly assigned a Secret Santa recipient. You will also be assigned to someone who will create a custom disc for you.

        • Assignments will be sent via email during the week of November 17th, 2025. Please check your inbox (and spam/junk folders) to ensure you receive your assignment.

    • Disc Creation:
        • Your mission is to create a one-of-a-kind custom-dyed disc specifically for your assigned recipient.

        • Consider their disc preferences and any additional information they’ve provided in the sign-up form (e.g., preferred brands, plastic types, colors, and designs).

        • All discs must be new and thoughtfully dyed.


Shipping & Deadlines:

    • Shipping Deadline:
        • You must ship your custom-dyed disc to your recipient by Sunday December 14th, 2025.

        • Ensure that the package arrives on time so that your recipient can enjoy their gift during the holiday season.

    • Shipping Requirements:
        • All participants must cover the cost of shipping to their recipient. Please use reliable shipping services with tracking to ensure safe delivery.

        • If you have agreed to ship internationally, please be aware of any additional customs requirements and timelines.

    • Packaging:
        • Carefully package your custom-dyed disc to prevent any damage during transit. Consider using a bubble mailer or disc-specific shipping materials.

        • Include a personal note if you’d like to add a special touch to the gift!

    • Proof of Shipping:
        • Once you’ve shipped your disc, you must provide proof of shipment (tracking number or receipt) in case there are any delivery issues.


Participation & Responsibility:

    • Commitment:
        • By signing up, you are committing to participating in the swap and creating/shipping a custom-dyed disc on time. If you are unable to fulfill your commitment, you must notify the organizers as soon as possible.

    • No-Shows or Late Shipping:
        • Failure to complete your part of the swap (i.e., no-show or late shipment) may result in exclusion from future Dyers Guild events and swaps as well as vast public shaming on all social media platforms.

        • If unforeseen circumstances arise that prevent you from meeting the shipping deadline, please communicate with the organizers.

    • Recipient Satisfaction:
        • While it’s important to respect the recipient’s preferences, creativity and individuality in your dyeing process are encouraged! Remember, this is a fun and festive event.


Submitting Your Gift:

    • Share Your Gift:
        • Once you receive your custom-dyed disc from your Secret Santa, take a photo of it and submit it on the Dyers Guild website HERE.


Community & Spirit:

    • Be Respectful:
        • This event is all about spreading holiday cheer, creativity, and community spirit. Please be respectful and considerate of your fellow dyers throughout the swap.

    • Enjoy the Process:
        • Have fun! Whether you’re new to disc dyeing or a seasoned pro, the Dyers Guild Secret Santa Swap is an opportunity to share your passion, make new connections, and give the gift of creativity.

Prizes & Random Drawings:

To add an extra layer of excitement to the Dyers Guild 2025 Secret Santa Swap, we’re giving away a few special prizes! Everyone who participates in the swap will automatically be entered into a random drawing for the chance to win some awesome goodies.

  • How to Enter:
    • Simply participate in the Secret Santa Swap! Once you’ve shipped your custom-dyed disc and we’ve received confirmation, you’ll be eligible for the prize drawing.

  • Prize Drawing Details:
    • Winners will be selected at random around December 19th, 2025.
    • There will be multiple prizes up for grabs, including dyeing supplies, exclusive discs, and more!
    • Winners will be notified via email, so make sure your contact information is up-to-date.
    • Prizes will be shipped to the winners after they’ve been notified.

Email Usage

Your email address will be used for the coordination and communication of the Dyers Guild 2025 Secret Santa Swap. This includes:

  • Sending you confirmation of your participation.
  • Communicating your Secret Santa pairing and shipping details.
  • Notifying you about any updates or changes to the swap.
  • Contacting you if you are selected as a prize winner in the random drawing.

In addition to event-related emails, participants’ email addresses will be used to send promotional offers, updates, and information from the Disc Golf Dyers Guild. You may opt out of these promotional communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link provided in the emails.

We take your privacy seriously and will not share your email with third parties.

By signing up for the Dyers Guild 2025 Secret Santa Swap, you agree to abide by these rules and timelines. Failure to comply may result in disqualification from future events as well as vast public shaming on all social media platforms.
