So my recipient loves glitches and zones, so I gave him 2 glitches one dyed one tournament stamp, and this rad Jason Voorhees I dyed because I didn’t get it done for Halloween! I’m stoked how it came out. I almost kept it, but I know I’m getting some for the swap and I want it to be flying instead of hanging around my place. The dyed glitch was me trying to dye green plastic for the first time. Learned a lot. This was super fun, can’t wait to see what I get sent!!!

Disc Dyers Guild Secret Santa 2024
Due to some crazy lake effect snow in my area I decided to use the disc I had signed by Issac Robinson(although the signature is covered by the dye)earlier this year. My assignment said they liked to throw pink discs, so I did my best to follow through. Happy holidays, and I hope you ace with it!

I have really had fun making some adventure animals! Earlier I made a panda going on a quest for my self, and now one of his companions is on its way across the land… Meet Axe-olotl, he’s savage!

My assignment wanted something “bright” so I tried to accommodate while also respecting the season in my usual cartoonish way, haha.

This is my first time doing the Dyers Guild Secret Santa! Hope my guy likes and enjoys the discs. Thank you for facilitating such a cool event.
With everything that has happened to me this fall, I thought i had bit off more than i could chew. I had planned on giving this design away for Christmas so it only seemed appropriate.
I hope they like it. Merry Christmas everybody.

My recipient, had some brand preferences, but otherwise was down for whatever! So I hooked them up with a mix of dye styles! We have an Innova Animal with a 50/50 Pink Blue floetrol Swirl. A super clean Red White and Blue spin-dye on a Gateway Element. Finally a Rainbow Turkey Dye, which is special because I stamped those myself at OTB-East! Hopefully they love one of the styles and maybe enjoy throwing a mold they haven’t explored yet!
So this is my first secret santa disc exchange and I’m so glad I decided to do this. It pushed me to produce some of my better work and I’m super happy with the result. I still want to improve in the area of painting with alcohol and acetone so I can create more depth and shadowing. I didn’t feel like taking that leap on this one though since I didn’t want to screw it up! My secret santa said they are in to anime and anything Japanese. Ironically I’m also into Japanese culture as well as a Shodan (1st… Read more »
Time for my second post! I got my discs this week from my secret santa. They came from Josh (@dogzone_dyes) all the way out in Colorado! He said he used two different levels of heat on the Detour to try something new. Not only does it give more contrast on the design, it taught me something about the heat and saturation at the same time so thanks for that Josh!! The second one is a buttery smooth Reactor that is just pleasing to look at because of the smooth transitions between the color. It doesn’t have those hard breaks in… Read more »
Dyed a signature series dye for my recipient and he’s already gotten and posted with it!

First time doing a disc swap and new to disc dying. Walked in to my local shop to grab the disc to dye and Calvin Heimburg was hanging out in the store. Had to grab my recipient a signed disc as well!

My swap said they liked Halloween so here’s a creepy zombie on a glow disc with some cool neon cells. I had fun with this new stencil. Merry Christmas from Florida!

First time secret Santa swap for me. My recipient gave me free rein but mentioned they prefer blue and/or purple. Thought an eagle on a trail would be sweet. Hope they enjoy.

It’s my first time doing a holiday disc swap. I had a lot of fun creating this disc, an MVP/Axiom Discs Crave. My recipient said they liked vibrant colors and specific anime, so I went with that. I do hope they enjoy throwing it as much as I did making it.
